The Heart of Havyn

We Root to Rise

Havyn was founded as one of Vancouver’s first non-Bikram hot studios in 2009. Back then, our focus was primarily on physical healing, and nervous system regulation as well as accessibility.

Fast forward to 2025, and we’ve seen an incredible evolution in the wellness space. With that growth, comes a lot of variability in style, quality and expectations in what constitutes a yoga class.

We at Havyn, want each student to feel that their time is honored. That each class that they attend makes them feel seen AND challenged; That they have a sacred space to feel, in order to heal.  

While we’ve moved away from the more spiritual aspects of yoga teachings outside of Asana, we focus very much on breath, mindfulness, and infuse principles of Yamas and Niyamas in how our instructors facilitate every class. We hope you can feel the love that each teacher brings to the room.

Havyn offers a large variety of classes all throughout the day, from early morning to late evening, making it easy to find a time that fits into my busy schedule. On days where I want to push myself more, I go for hot Pilates or power flow, and on days where I need to move more slowly and prioritize balance, I go for Hatha. I highly recommend Meltem or Natalia’s classes if you want to be pushed to your limits, but all the instructors are lovely and there is something new to learn from everyone. It really depends on what your goals are, and no matter which class you choose, the heat is great for relaxing your muscles and detoxifying your body. The front desks energy literally makes a WORLD of a difference walking into a fitness studio and I felt so welcomed the minute I walked in. The energy from the front desk staff and instructor was so warm and friendly. Honestly, just having that great interaction walking in - along with the nice studio, I was already sold on liking it.
